  1. MKII rebuild

I have been doing a total rebuild of my MKII.
After initially purchasing the car, I found many defects in the paint, electrical, and some safety issues. After an electrical fire, I decided to pull the whole car apart and replace what was necessary. Granted I'm on a budget but I decided to take some time and try to get it as right as money and sweat could buy.

  2. Back to the mountains in May 2008

The FFR Roadster loves the long drive. We took the long slow road to the mountains again in May. The roads were great. The car ran flawlessly. There were many questions at the overlooks on the parkway about the Roadster. We told them about FFR and the websites to visit and also told them they too could build one. The ladies on motorcycle back seats seemed the most interested :)

  3. In the March 2008 we went to Chimney Rock, NC then to Cherokee, NC via the Parkway

It was a fantastic trip except for the rain. Oh did it rain on us!

  4. It was still hot in September 2007 when I ventured to my first car show

It was the Whitby's & FFR train to the Autofair in Charlotte. We met at Hooters early in the morning and then caravaned over to the speedway. My dad and I met some great people and saw way to many cars. If you ever get the chance to go, the Autofair is outrageous in it's scale and scope.

  5. It was hot in August 2007 when we went back to the Dragon.

The people you meet going to the Dragon are awesome. They were good natured on this trip even though we almost melted. We stood across the road in the shade and talked a little and then went back up the Dragon for some hamburgers and fries at the top together.
