  1. Engine build

Its been a long while since I have had time to work on the rebuild.
I've been out of the country for many months, and then got sent home for some R&R. I last left off with cleaning up my used 302 roller and I was all set to put a set of aluminum heads and cam I bough from Fortes.
Well that was until I started getting more into the cleaning process of the motor, and figured I should just rebuild it completely.
After all I do have a nice Paxton 10lb blower I want to use. ...

  2. 5-link Mod

One of the modifications I wanted to do first during my rebuild, was the rear suspension. The original builder used donor springs on the build and it was a very cushy feeling, but not good for performance handling.
I really wanted to go IRS, but I make only enough money to do certain things. The 5-link was more cost effective with some good performance but still not going to be as good as IRS.
The quality of the 5-link is incredible, but the install is best done on a new build not ...

  3. Wow so much Carbon Deposits, I swear this 302 is non filtered!.

When I pulled the engine and heads off It was amazing this thing ran at all. Now I know why I wasnt getting the performance I should have.
After 20 cans of brake cleaner and wd40 I was able to clean up the block easily along with the pistons. Engine seems to still be fresh enough to proceed with the rebuild.
Ill be getting rid of the iron heads and putting the beautiful edelbrock heads and matching cam that Mike Forte sold me! Thanks Mike!

  4. MKII rebuild

I have been doing a total rebuild of my MKII.
After initially purchasing the car, I found many defects in the paint, electrical, and some safety issues. After an electrical fire, I decided to pull the whole car apart and replace what was necessary. Granted I'm on a budget but I decided to take some time and try to get it as right as money and sweat could buy.
