Why not the Hyperspark?
Hyperspark is economical compared to other MSD setups and it is specifically designed for integration with the Sniper.
Only thing you have to do if you get the Hyperspark, is you must get a steel gear for it. Regardless of what some sites may state, The Ford small block Hyperspark comes ONLY with a cast gear. The E cam is a roller cam and requires a steel gear on the distributor. I did the swap myself and wrote up a “how to” on this forum. It is not for the faint of heart or those that don’t have a decent hydraulic press and the ability to take accurate measurements to a few thousandths.
The steel gear is an additional $80-$100. Reportedly, Holley/MSD will do the gear change for you but you have to send both the gear and distributor to them.
If you want vacuum advance, get a 1985 mustang dizzy. They come with a steel gear compatible with a steel roller cam. And has a magnetic pickup. You can drop in a pertronix ignition module and off ya go. I run mine with a GM HEI module. I like that if i kill one ( which I have ) they are plentiful in any parts store.
Or.. get a full pertronix distributor.
If you plan to have the sniper do the ignition, I don't think you need a vacuum advance dizzy, but don't quote me on that. Then you can use almost any non TFI distributor. Just make sure it has a steel gear.
You have you coil sorted out? If you go with a pertronix , or HEI ignition, you can run a low Resistance R-Votr mustang coil. No need for a ballast resistor.

Fixed my post.. not a '95, an '85. That's the year with the steel gear.
P.S. No matter what you go with, MAKE SURE it has the steel gear. It didn't happen to me, but I've read posts on various forums about guys putting in a distributor that claimed to have a steel gear, only to have it get chewed up by the cam because it was a cast gear.
You want dead simple? Drop in one of these and an ECore coil.

That I can't really help you with. I don't know if the sniper needs mechanical advance. I assume it doesn't need vacuum advance.
I'm only guessing, but I imagine you could use something like this

Look at the offerings from Holley that are designed to work together. If I were to replace my distributor, I'd do the Hyperspark and let the Sniper control the timing. I have a standard distributor with vacuum advance and a coil, which works, but why not get the complete system if you have the opportunity?

I have the dual sync. It is nice to have the timing control. No issues to date. Have heard good things about Hyperspark as well.
Like you, I started from scratch. No coil, no distributor,... went full Holley hyperspark system, works great...

I have the Sniper and Hyperspark. The timing curve in the Sniper program is pretty basic. Others have downloaded other timing programs from Holley and installed them in the Sniper. I have been running the basic setup for a year and it seems to work OK but I am only using the car for cruising. As others have mentioned, the Hyperspark distributor only ships with a cast gear. Didn’t have to change mine because I am running a flat tappet cam.

I got mine from Mike Forte' to replace a FiTech. Holley is much better. If you are military, or prior military I believe that Holley offers a discount, but you need to call Holley to ask. Holley also has discounted reconditioned units at a good price that come with the same warranty and they include all new wiring with it.

Interesting. The 565-322 is a short distributor designed to work with their low profile intake. It does indeed show to have a steel gear. However the standard height distributor 565-301 shows to have a cast gear, which I know is correct because I've changed out several. The 565-322 also shows to be less expensive ??? Confusing for sure. I don't see a reason why it won't work for you.

The Distributor PART# 565-322 did not fit... I the. ordered Hyperspark Ford 302, bought the steel gear, EFIPro had it shipped to MSD to have it installed and shipped to me for free.
Took less than 10 minutes to find Top dead Center and use the Holley plastic alignment tool to setup the distributor.
Firing it up next weekend... Fingers crossed...

the hyperspark distributor is the answer, No system of weights, or vacuum advance will work as effectively as the electronic Map-able advance that goes with that distributor on sniper.
as far as coil control you can run sniper to the amplifier unit (included with most sniper kits) to coil, no need for a CD box.
Yep — I went with the whole Sniper EFI System...soups to nuts

I used the DualSync on my Sniper 408. Fired first try!
I went with the dual sync, because it had the right gear material for my cam. Otherwise I would have used the Hyperspark. Apples to apples, it costed more to get a Hyperspark and have the gear changed out, then to get a DualSync that already had the right gear installed.
So I just got off the phone with Holley. I also ordered the 565-322 because of the steal gear. He told me it was specifically designed for the SBF intake manifold and I was likely to have the same interference. He gave me two options, order the standard 302 with the cast gear and purchase a steal gear and have it changed. The other option was to order the Holley duel sync, 565-202. This is more expensive but about the same when you add the gear (this is what Breeze offers as well). It comes with a steal gear already and it required a harness adaptor. I am returning the 565-322, so I am it an extra $130.
I am also running the entire Holley setup. Looking forward to getting my motor back and installed.

I haven't installed it yet but I have the Dual Sync Distributor with the Hyperspark CD box and the blaster coil.
I purchased the dual sync at the same time as I bought the sniper unit. I didn't realize at purchase time that the Sniper Stealth 4150 (was just being released when I bought it) did not come with the coil driver like the standard Sniper 4150 comes with (as an aside the sniper stealth also doesn't let you do progressive linkage). So after some discussion with EFISystemPro, he told me I could just buy the hyperspark CD box as it will work with the dual sync disctributor, just need to modify some of the wiring. During setup in the sniper wizard I'll choose dual sync option for timing control. The advantage is the steel gear already on the dual sync, and then the hyperspark CD box is pretty plug and play with the other components, with some pinouts needed to change. I wish Holley would just sell a HyperSpark Dist. with the steel gear for a Ford 302, but maybe someday they will realize their blunder...
I was on the phone, yesterday, with a Holley rep. He said, he would try to get MSD, who makes these distributors, to put the steel gear on 565-301 before it ships. I think they've been getting a bunch of calls on this. I was not thinking, was not ready to order and didn't get his extension.
Just to be clear again, both of these come standard with a cast gear:
565-301 is for the Ford 302 block - https://www.holley.com/products/igni.../parts/565-301
565-302 is for the Ford 351 block - https://www.holley.com/products/igni.../parts/565-302
