Even though everyone's vehicle is "one of a kind" there's always some common theme. Not with this car. In the village of one-of-kind" vehicles, this one is truly one of a kind.
It's still a factory five kit that resembles the 1960s car,... from 50 yards. Come closer and its something else to behold.
I always loved the classic and everlasting beauty of the Cobra. Still do. The shape is forever. i am no fan of analogue controls though. they lack both beauty(my opinion) and accuracy(fact).
So i decided my cobra would feature modern day technological accouterments.
Here's a list of items:
keyless star
start/stop button: Simple enter the car, and press the start button and off you go. It uses the same RFID technology of modern cars
security alarm: loud enough to wake up the neighbors. Including those that live a couple of blocks away
backup camera: for accurately backing up this precious car
Bluetooth connectivity for phone: hand free voice calls with the integrated speaker and microphone
touchscreen GPS navigation: in the 60s, everyone used paper maps that couldn't be updated in real time. today we use GPS :-) large screen touchscreen, no buttons.
digital instruments
android infotainment: web browser, internet radio, youtube, google apps and all the toys from google app store car be in your car.
removable D steering wheel: D steering wheel for additional comfort around your leg. Removal so you can park you car any no one can drive away with it. Unless perhaps they only want to go straight without turning.
matching color pedals,
colored knockoff spinners
4 built in USB chargers.....
All the above without sacrificing the ride and feel of a 60s car. Its fitted with a ford 5.0 HO engine. No power steering, loud and throaty engine sound from the exhaust.
Which leads to why i'm selling the car. That loud and throaty engine sound from the exhaust. I now realize i like VERY quiet cars that don't have the exhaust to the side blowing fumes into my nostrils. It was fun for a bit especially the admiring glances, but yeah, i kinda like breathing clean air better.
So I'm selling this to build an all electric interpretation of the Cobra. Zero emission, zero sound.
Tires are Goodyear Eagle which are hard to find. they are pretty much brand new with all the pointy bits still stand up. Driven no more than 3 miles on those tires.
Nothing like this on the market, not even close! Your money back if at least 3 strangers don’t compliment you on the beauty of your car on the very first day.
Cool looking car, but to my mind it means analog all the way. My feelings are that the Cobra is a basic brute and it needs your attention at all times rather than electronic tidbits. BTW, does it have strabismus in that right eye? GLWS and drive safe.
Just curious if any of that technology compensates for the crooked headlight?
Jeff
May account for the upside down photos as well.

Its the angle of the photo that makes it seem that way. Definitely not crooked. Take a pic of your car while squatting directly in front of the driver side headlight at the same angle as the pic and you will see what i mean.
In fact, just go through other cars here taken at about the same angle and you'll see the same thing.
It's not like i created the body work myself. Came from factory five.

I agree with you on the basic brute. I think that is the attraction for a lot of people. When I'm daydreaming about Cobras, that's exactly what i want, It's the reason i refused to install power steering. But when i'm actually driving one, i honestly just want a comfy roadster to drive in and around the city and highway as a daily driver. I like cars that i can take for weekend "cars and coffee" but also easy and fun to jump in and drive to work. The Cobra in my opinion is too beautiful to be be relegated to occasional meetups, autocross or track days. This one checks off all the boxes for me except the engine emission.
The irony about Cobras though is that almost everyone that doesn't own one or hasn't driven in one, thinks you are having a really laid back relaxing time. reality is you are simply smiling for the camera while inhaling fumes. I'm going to build another one. This time 100% electric and even more electronics that this. think lane departure warning etc. That way i can smile even longer for the camera, breathe fresh(er) air and just really enjoy my roadster.
not to be a Richard here but did you make a typo with the asking price?
Nope. Feel free to DM me pics of a better looking, better equipped, modern interpretation of Cobra that is cheaper. Try to resist sending anything that has less than half of the items i listed and then turn around and call it "pretty much the same thing". There's a sticky in the forum that talks about thinking your car is worth a few dollars less just because it has a few items less than the one that sold for $45k.
1. What folks are saying about the right headlight is that it is clocked at about a 45-degree angle compared to the left because the lines on the lens really seem to be off.
2. My only recommendations would be to check that light, adjust your pipes so that they are parallel with the side of the car, and to detail the engine bay.
3. Regarding your technology, each to their own because when we build these cars, we are building our dreams.
4. As for me, I love the color, lack of stripes, blacked-out chrome, tire choice, and the stance.
5. While I feel that the price is strong, I've got a friend who has offered me what I feel is crazy money for my car, but his net worth is at least 100-X more than mine.
Please know that I feel like there MAY be somebody that loves your car as much as you do, but will that person have the financial means to buy it?

It is a gorgeous car...no doubt about it
It is also the attention to details that makes it unique
As GoDadGo said above in #1 item it’s that detail that sets people apart...
Not cool to question or criticize asking prices guys. If feedback is requested, that's one thing. But in this case not. Or maybe in a constructively written PM. But not in the public forum. The market will decide. It always does.

This is the issue with today's society, everyone is sensitive and offended by anything.
It a simple question due to the fact that I must be the only idiot here that looks at others for sale (comps like houses) just like your own MK4 with a coyote asking less.
Ohmsworld, I hear you regarding showing a smile while you wrestle with the Cobra, I had a late '50's muscle car years ago and while I know it is is like riding a bronco I still grinned at the onlookers. Nowadays I settled for a new electronic wonder and rain or shine, I am dry and entertained(although I would have liked a CD player instead of Sirius), and worry free from spark plug change for the foreseeable future. I see the connection between your name and the little "resistance" you showed in outfitting your roadster. Drive safe and GLWS.

Thanks for the feedback. Really appreciate it.
Now i see what they meant about the light! haha! Never really noticed it but now it's all i see.
I'll detail the engine bay and adjust the pipes too. But those pipes, man, never seen something that looks so simple be so hard. Another good reason the next won't have pipes.
The price is strong and i'm open to offers.
It's been an expensive build as I've tried to get it as perfect as possible. Like to at least get that money back plus something for my pain, suffering and heartbreak that'll come when i hand over the keys (key fob).
Not my cup of tea, but the saying "an a$$ for every seat" comes to mind.....
Honestly, I hope you get the money, would be a good thing for the used FFR market. I plan on listing mine in the spring for sale to fund another build and it would be encouraging to see FFR's price start to climb.

That's the spirit!
I swapped out some pics and added more of the interior so you can see the dash and the removable steering wheel.
Now, everyone loves a removable steering wheel right? Think about it, when you get tired of constantly battling your car on the highway, you can simply detach the steering while and you'll have nothing to battle. problem solved.
Turning is so overrated. It's like people don't realize the world is round.
Told you this car is a technological marvel. I may have priced it too low in fact. :-)
Nice car and kudos to you for doing it your way bro. I have had a lot of muscle cars over the years, love the fords, early mustangs in particular. The Cobra though was always my dream car since I was 5 or 6 years old, and now I finally have one. I didn't build it, I am rebuilding it so to say. Making it my own. As I said I have owned my fair share of cars and have looked at many many more over the years and my one rule is Never ever beat on the sellers car. He loves it, just because its not my cup of tea, doesn't mean that the next guy will not be enthralled with it. I see a lot of the Crown Vic hoopties running around. I don't get it but these guys love their cars and spend as much time and money, all things relative, as we do. Everyone has a budget, even Elon Musk. Again all things relative. I have walked away from many cars over the years, Cobras included, thinking what was that all about but never beat on the guys car. So Nice car bro and good luck in selling it and good luck with your all electric. Mike

FYI check out this website. They are familiar with Factory Five as they have a kit for the 818s. You might want to go with the dual motors for the power. They have some Youtube videos of their shop and the products.
