Every so often, someone posts the question, "Just bought an old Roadster. It's #XXXX. Can anyone tell me what Mark it is?"
Can FFR post the serial number ranges (or the starting serial numbers) for each mark?

David,
Alot of the serial numbers over lap. We were still making Mk2's when we launched the Mk3, so there is no set serial number where one started and the other model began. There are little differences that separated the two. The foot boxes are different for the different models, there is different bracing on the frames and other details. I will see if we can make a document that lists ways to tell apart the different models...
A basic guide is 1995-2000 are Mk1, 2000-2003 are Mk2. 2004-2011 are Mk3. The Mk3 stareted right around the end of 2003 and the beginning of 2004, so there are some mixed together in there. The Mk4 started this year.
Best regards,
Brian @ FFR

I believe the MK4 started Feb/Mar of last year (2010), didn't it?

jlfernan's Mk4 7184 was delivered on the same truck, 2nd to last stop(found a photo on Jorge's web pages showing the driver moving his car out of the trailer with mine behind it).
