Hi F5 Family! My name is Doug "Dj" Sandin and like so many of you, I too have fallen in love with the AC Cobra when I was a young kid. And out of all the cars and even add-in the super-cars, the AC Cobra has been and always will be "The One" vehicle that gave and still gives me goose bumps and such joy each and every time I see it! The body lines are unmatched, so elegant, so beautiful. Even in today's modern cars, the AC Cobra/FFR Roadster stands in a class of it's own. IMHO - Nothing and I mean nothing can compare to it! The body lines are unmatched to any other vehicle on the road. This car will always turn heads and make others dream of owning, driving, and maybe even building one in their own time.

I have dreamed for many, many, many years... Of not just owning one, but building a FFR Roadster! Out of all the Cobra replicas that are available on the market, the FFR Mk4 Roadster is no doubt the one to have! The chasis is a great place to start as to why, but Factory Five's reputation with it's customers and the dedication to build the best-in-class model for those who want to have that open top and horsepower pounding exhaust power, no other choice to be honest.

I hope to make my dream finally come true in 2020. So, I want to gain insight from those who who have built their own dream car. By leveraging the wisdom and skills of those who have taken this build journey before me. Those who are willing to share valuable tips and tricks to help me not make mistakes and of course to keep me moving forward and to build it right. I'm sure that everyone on this forum has incredible experience, knowledge and stories to tell... One's that I can gleam into their own build journey's, which will then help me in preparation to tackle this once-in-a-lifetime experience. I plan to scour this site and read all the stories, blogs, and watch the videos that F5 releases, along with other individuals too. I just want to minimize my mistakes as I prepare for my own future build.

The very thought of finally building your dream car is similar to wanting to build a cabin or something that is extremely meaning and hopefully will have positive impact on yourself. I mean, touching and turning every bolt, washer, nut and piecing together the vehicle you are going to drive and want to drive all the time. The pure joy and adrenaline one must feel, each and every time you work on it, it's going to be one of those life bucket-list goals no doubt! And I so can't wait to live and experience each step I take and what it is to accomplish this life-long-goal.

I've been planning, saving and dreaming of the day to when I too can begin this beautiful journey. I can just only imagine it and I know that once it begins; it will no doubt conclude, I'm sure like everyone else's, a BIG smile on your face and the wind whipping in your hair as you cruise along and feel the excitement each and every time you climb in and start that engine ----- WOW! I definitely want to live this and not dream about it anymore. Anyway, that was long, but I just wanted to say "thanks" for letting me join this forum and gain valuable information as I prepare to no longer dream, but live the reality of owning a Factory Five Mk4 Roadster.
