Really bizarre -
I’m assembling the rear suspension - and it appears the 4.25” (5/8”) fits the alignment spacers nicely but is substantially greater in diameter than the hole in the spindle.
I’m assembling the MKV w/the spindles included in the kit.
There are no other bolts of that length in the IRS fastener kit and it would be odd to have a smaller bolt as the other parts clearly match the 5/8”.
Thoughts??

I am not sure how it works for the MK5 but on the MK4 the manual shows the ear you reference in the first picture needs to be cut off. From Page 84 of Mk4 Build Manual:

I can't see how the MKV would be any different. That ear interferes with the wheel. I agree with Andrew I think that needs to be cut off, but check the manual or one of the other MK5 guys can chime in.

Yes, sorry, my mistake - it was 30 pages earlier and I somehow thought I’d be exempt since all the parts came w/the kit.
