    Question Ride Height and Rake

    Hi Folks,

    I had my MKIV aligned to specs at a shop at initial build. Some ~4000 miles later, I'm curious about ride height (shocks were set identically left to right, per spec, originally). No driver, and tank about 1/2 full.

    DF = 3 9/16" PF = 3 10/16"
    DR = 4 8/16" PR = 4 9/16"
    D Rake = 15/16" P Rake = 15/16"

    Rears are 315/35/R17 and Fronts are 255/40/R17, so 0.65" of the 0.9375" rake is tire diameter, leaving just under 0.29" for suspension-related rake.

    So, the rake is identical on both rails, but the passenger side is higher than drivers by 1/16" front and rear, and that's without me sitting in it. I have the Coyote Gen 3 with Tremec TX. IRS. Battery in center of trunk. There is a little more weight on the driver's side, for the steering, footbox, pedals.

    Street car only. I'm just curious what other people have noticed. Thanks.

    It's a sixteenth of an inch. I'd say you're good, especially after 4000 miles.

    Yeah, I know I know... Nothing about these cars is square to the word Just curious what other people are seeing. I knew there would be some rake with the wheels, but I didn't know with the suspension it would be nearly an inch.

    Scales tell the story, not a ruler.

    As Jeff said, scales tell the story. I set mine to 4" on the front and 4.25 on the rear, then did four corner weights. I never went back to check the height.
