for those of you with the S550 Mustang IRS - did you paint or POR15 your half-shafts?
seems that these get surface rust pretty quickly - who's done a coating or paint? I assume stay away from the 'teeth' or bearings but everything else looks to be ferrous metal
I'd assume to protect the orange highlighted areas - right?

Yes, they will get nasty pretty quickly. Doesn't hurt anything, but I too like them to stay reasonable looking. I used Dupli-Color DE1636 Ceramic Clear Engine Paint on mine. In the areas you indicate. The three year only ones on my Roadster still look clean and unrusted. I use that same product a lot. Seems to hold up pretty well. Also posted in the other forum.
