I have a '33 Hot Rod kit, #333 (no kidding, go figure) I want to drop in a crate Ford Performance OEM 427 (a 351W stroked to 427), but I'm worried about hood clearance. Before I pull the trigger and buy it, I would like to hear from someone who has done it. Ford recommends an Edelbrock Victor Jr. intake manifold which is pretty tall. Edelbrock lists a (shorter) RPM manifold as an alternative option. Put a carb and air cleaner on top and can you get the whole sheebang under the hood w/o cutting holes? Surely somebody as done this install--fill me in please.

Hot Rod Magazine Editor Rob Kinnan used that same mill as did we in one of our early cars. Call FFR and ask for Jim (tomorrow as he is returning from races in Atlanta today) and get the specs on intake, etc. Dave
