From Radkat:

I recently went through installling the Trinary Switch that comes with the GTM Vintage Air Kit and I thought what I found out may be helpful for others.
First of all the Trinary switch that comes with the HVAC kit has no place on the AC hoses to install it. I had to have an adaptor put into the
short "HI side" hose from the condenser to the Evaporator for the switch. The port on the longer hose where the original Corvette Binary switch installs is a different thread
and the Trinary Switch will not install there.

To wire it, the Blue wire from the HVAC AC switch hooks up to one of the Green/Black striped wires and the other Green/Black striped wire on the switch I hooked up to #902 of the
Painless Chassis Harness, then routed it to the Compressor. One of the Blue wires coming out of the switch is the ground and the other Blue one (you'll need to extend it) hooks up to the Fan Relay in the Engine
fuse panel on Pin #86 on an LS3. It may be similar or the same for other LS engines... not sure. On Pin #86 there are two wires, one Green and one Blue for Lo and Hi
fan speeds. The LS3 uses the HI speed which is the Blue wire and the Blue wire from the Trinary Switch splices into it.

The Trinary Switch works by "Grounding" out the circuit which will cause the fans to come on when the engine temperature is not warm enough for it to kick on normally.
This way, with electric fans, you don't have to have them running all the time and this safety feature will prevent burning up your AC system sitting at a stop sign or around town driving
without significant air running through the condenser. The Trinary Switch works with both the fans and compressor where the Corvette Switch doesn't work with both.

I hope this is helpful and will save others time.
