So it looks like the fire department cut the battery wires when this car was wrecked. I am trying to hook them back up but not sure what goes where, other than the starter cable, which was still attached.
So what I have is:
Thick starter wire. Another black wire routed and in the loom with the starter wire.
A black wire that goes underneath and into the engine compartment fuse block.
And a black wire attached to the engine bay.(Obvious!)
When I continuity test the black wire routed and in the loom with the starter wire, and the wire going underneath and into the fuse block, I get continuity. When I do the same to either of these wire and to the 120A fuse in the block, I get continuity.
I want to assume they are both either + or both -. But if they are both +, there is no - wire other than the one to the engine bay, and that is too thin to be the only - wire.
Can someone take a look at theirs and give me some direction. Maybe there is a short somewhere, but there just doesn't seem to be damage in an area that would cause a short.
