I'm on the preorder list for an 818S, and am also a participant in AJW Performance's Beta Donor Program, and have purchased an NA donor pallet. I'm trying to get a leg up on planning my relatively mild engine modifications. Specifically, I'm addressing exhaust system issues. It is my understanding that there have been some design issues at FFR relative to providing an exhaust system for those intent on using NA components. Presumably, FFR will provide as part of the kit exhaust components from the stock manifolds and connector back, or maybe cat-back.
I'm planning on utilizing equal-length headers (specifically, one of Techworks Engineering's products). Their header products terminate at locations consistent with the stock layout. Is there anything in the engine compartment layout that would make using an equal-length header problematic?
Do you know yet what the diameter of the header-back or cat-back exhaust system for the NA application will be? Knowing this will allow me to choose between 2.25 inch and 2.5 inch header collector sizing.
Any help you can give me in this regard will be greatly appreciated.
