I finally worked out all the major problems with the engine install and was comfortable getting a final dyno tune. Today I took the car out to Omer's (TSL Tuners) and did about 8 dyno runs.

We only found about 10 HP at the peak but picked up 70 ft lbs at 2500 rpm. It was running very rich with the stock tune. The amazing thing is the engine made 350 HP at the wheel! That is what the engine was rated at the crank in 2003 and was a full 50 HP more than I expected. That means the engine is making around 400 HP at the crank. I really am shocked at the numbers it put down.

Here is a pic of the before and after tune:

Congrats! The car looks good too. Yours is what I am hoping for mine to look like, with the addition of some stripes. Nice motor choice. ;-)

Thanks! Many did not like my color or engine choice so it is good to know someone appreciates me deviating from the norm.

I dig it, because I too have deviated from the norm.

Looking good...is that an LS6? I really like that passenger side exhaust. It will be interesting to see if the restrictive FFR pipes choke off your flow much. The stock 8 into 4 was pretty bad on the 302.

Its actually an LM7 (5.3) From an avalanche. In the pic its got an LS1 intake on it. Intake has since been swapped to an edelbroc Vic. Jr. with Throttle body elbow. Not sure how restrictive the exhaust is, but I'm sure when I put the turbos on the car I'll hardly be able to notice. ;-)
