I got tired of flipping through the FFR parts pack list trying to find parts and identifying parts in the various boxes, so I scanned all of the parts pack list pages and then uploaded it to AI, and then had AI convert the info to an Excel document that is then searchable by box number, part number, or description. I used Perplexity for the AI piece because I have a free subscription, but ChatGPT or most other AI versions will likely work.

This is a link to my parts list as an example My FFR Parts Pack List Excel for MK5 (https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/bzvgaxzt9trhj9jphocep/FFR-Parts-Pack-List-MK5-Excel.xlsx?rlkey=9akju298tgo9viep30ulld3e0&st=ro33wkxg&dl=0)

That's pretty damn clever! My inventory pages are dog eared from flipping through them to confirm part locations etc. This is a far better solution, thanks for sharing.

Yep. Helps a lot having it in Excel. I just took some time and manually created a workbook with a separate sheet for each box. When doing a search you have to remember to select it to search the workbook instead of just the sheet you’re on.

Thanks, I just copied the spreadsheet into Google sheets and will be adapting it to my kit!

I scanned my inventory sheets into a searchable PDF so I didn't have to flip through all the pages.
