About ready to pick this bad boy up! - just wanted to check with the FFR brain trust that these points are viable locations to hook into the drive train to lift everything.216620216621

With my first build I had lift brackets on the Coyote.... Nothing like that here.

It’s essentially what I did.

That’s what I did as well. I used the outside holes on the head. Doubt it matters. Don’t forget your leveler.

Same here with my 427.

I have always used an engine lift plate that attaches to the intake manifold...

For fun (And so I know....) I bought this cheap scale to be able to weight the whole drive train. I've never been able to find this data listed anywhere.

Anyhow - weight of a 427 with a TKX...

Here's my SBF Windsor 427 on my crane/lift. Spend the $$ for a 4 point adjustable hoist hook up, you wont regret it. I did the same on my 427FE in put in my 70 Cougar

I made two lift plates of 1/4” or 3/16” plate to bolt to the same holes on my AFR heads, one for the DS rear and one for the PS front. This is the DS rear. They aren’t in the way of anything so they’re still on my engine. Credit to Todd and Jim, my instructors at build school who had some just like it.216742

2 guys, 40 minutes. Only that long because we had to keep changing heights of the car to get the crane legs under things!
