Hi all,
Sold my firebird and bought another Factory Five. Built the Daytona and now time for a roadster. So far I have made it a basic roller so I can roll it up onto the lift for storage.205621205622

My wife would like to drive this one and has no interest in trying to learn stick again. So this one will be an automatic. I have read through the forums and it appears the 6R80 will fit with out too much fuss. The problem is a gen 3 control pack is only set up for the 10 r80. Found a used gen3 from a mustang with only 11,000 miles. Had to pull the trigger. I have read that I can buy a stand alone controller for the 6R80 and run a manual trans control pack to run the coyote. Option 2 is I use the Ford 10r80 control pack and modify the trans tunnel to fit the 10r80.

Either would need a modified driveshaft. Any recommendations on that? Has anyone done the 10r yet? It looks like the frame of the roadster is more like an old school traditional frame car verses the coupes roll cage style design. It looks like modifying the tunnel by enlarging it would not be too difficult on the roadster. All thoughts are welcome.

I wish I could help. There are not a lot of automatic transmissions in the builds that get published here. I did notice your roller came with the exact same wheels I purchased for my car (mine are black). If you would not mind could you share the tire size that are on those puppies? I am so stoked to see they look awesome.

Sorry you showed up with a question and only got another one in response. :)

Thanks. For anyone else they are from this supplier. https://cosmisusa.com/collections/xt-206r?page=2
Great looking wheel. They fit perfectly with no spacers needed. I am running 315/30zr18 on the rears. 255/35zr18 on the front.205650205651

Weird these look upside down, but when clicked on they are correct orientation.
