At the extremes of lock to lock my tires rub on the inner fenders. Up until now I've just dealt with it but now I'd like to fix it.
Before I reinvent the wheel, I thought I'd ask what you guys are doing to restrict the travel of the steering rack?

I just turned and bored some uhmw tubular spacers that contact the end of the steering housing when at the extreme ends of travel. The width of the spacers is easy enough to measure without the bellows installed. Turn your wheels until the tire almost runs, then measure the distance from your inner tie rod boss to the rack body. Allow about an extra 1/8” for clearance.

Purpose made part just for this: https://breezeautomotive.com/shop/steering-rack-travel-limit-spacer/
I used PVC pipe cut to the appropriate length and split to slip over the tie rod.

I have actually used the split PVC trick in the past. It will most likely be my solution this time as well.

@idf do you have a picture of your implementation? I think MCamera and STiPWRD used 1” ID shaft collars to limit the steering. I need to limit my right wheel since it impacts the front rear splash guards.
Sorry my reply with quote doesn’t seem to be working…

I don't have any pictures and would need to remove the boot to get one. It's as simple as it sounds however. Just get a piece of PVC of the right ID, cut to length and split to slip over the tie rod. The same concept as the Breese parts referred to above.
