Sorry if my Google fu failed and this has been addressed:

1: Seems like the consensus is to not install the seats until the body is on. Do I just cross my fingers while go-karting?

2: At first look, the fore/aft (stock) seat frame section nearest the trans tunnel appears to be more or less directly over the 4” frame tube. If so, I think I’d have to mount the seat only using bolts on the outboard half-ish of the frame (on the cross pieces).

3. My parts list doesn’t show a seat mounting hardware pack as implied in the manual. I don’t mind another run to Tractor Supply, can someone suggest if there’s particular attachment hardware I should pick up?

I'd recommend the Breeze seat mounts. it allows for sturdy attachment to the frame as well as adjustability down the road.
If you have low back seats, I'd be less worried about the body being on first. you can also put the body on and pull it off once you mark you seat location.

Don’t cross your fingers while go karting. Install the harnesses. If you are properly harnessed in, neither you nor your seat will be going anywhere, even if the seats are not mounted.

I used three bolts nuts at three of the corners. The RR of the seat I drilled into the main frame tube and tapped threads into it. The tube is only 1/8" wall so I used a fine thread bolt and tightened just so it was snug.
