I am trying to make my MKIV somewhat reasonably period correct. With FFR it's much easier to make 289 period correct, but I decided to go down the 427 path with an S/C layout, so here we are.
One thing that's "wrong" is that the real bulkhead closes. 427 competition had exposed rollbars with an FIA bump:

Comp cars had the battery at the back:

Street cars had it closed with a vinyl and had storage, similar to this:

Naturally, the latter is easier to do with the FFR design, but I do have a driver side rollbar (with a crossbar for seat belt). On the passenger side, I plan to do this, regardless of which option I go with:

So now that leaves me with two options.
Option 1:
Go with the faux comp look. Move the rear bulkhead back. But with FFR, the step is deeper and higher. So I plan to put a faux battery there with a fire extinguisher on the other side, that wont add any depth:

Option 2
The second option is easier. Just vinyl the back and put a leather / vinyl pocket there, similar to the CSX3283 I showed above:

But it's sort of incorrect because the rest of my car follows the competition look, but it'll be sort of incorrect either way.
So, internet, what say you?
