cross posted as well
pulled off my door latch because it was binding a bit after trying to make some door position adjustments.
anyway, I have already done the "Wade" carriage bolt modification and noticed that my lever has a lot of drag on it, even if the carriage bolt is loose.
there's a wavy washer on the pressed in part of the latch mechanism. do I need to graphite or lubricate this? Lever won't return to starting position unless I manually move it.
I had removed the lower spring per Kleiner's recommendation and wonder if I need a stronger spring on the piston to push the piston/lever back in starting position.
TIA
