Good morning everyone
Last week I sent an email to F5 requesting a few little changes to my order. The date on my order says 11/26/22, but I don't know if that's the ship date or when they start building the frame. Regardless, I was told to wait until I was closer to that date to submit order changes.
Dan emailed me back asking me to please hold off on order changes until the kit review comes up. I had no idea that was part of the process. Either way, I just need a couple things cleared up.
That date on my order confirmation, is that whey they expect to ship? Or when they start to build the frame?
Has anyone else been part of this "kit review" process before, and how does it work?
Thank you.

The completion date is the date you could plan to pickup your kit if doing self pickup, if you are working with a carrier you need to coordinate this date with them, depending on their schedule this may not be the exact shipping date. You will receive a packet in the mail which will include a copy of your order and final payment instructions. After review you can call or email FFR to confirm any changes and make the final payment, this needs to be done no later than 10 days prior to your completion date. After this time I believe they start building the chassis and pulling all parts for the kit. I was able to make a few changes after my initial order but that option seams to have changed since the new upgrade, I also received an email asking to hold off until the final review process. I'm sure there are others that have more insight on the process but this has been my experience so far.

Likely completion date when it's ready for shipping. Mine took another week or so before getting on the road and arrived abt. two weeks after.

11/26 is the targeted completion date which barring unforeseen circumstances is usually accurate. Actual ship date is up to you and/or your carrier (if you intend to use Stewart Transport as most do you should contact them ASAP because they stay heavily booked). As has been said you'll be contacted a couple of weeks prior to confirm the final order with any changes and to make payment arrangements.

Thanks for confirming everyone. I guess I was confused because the sales order says "Date Required" when they actually mean "Completion Date". I'll wait to hear from them, then request my changes. There's not much, and all the changes are to the "kit" part of the build, not the frame or body so it'll just change boxes they ship.
I'm going with Stewart, and I got a quote from them back when I placed my order. I'll nudge them after I have my kit review, just to make sure it's still go for my pickup.

I would think you may want to nail it down with Stewart pretty darn soon, or you might not get delivery till after Christmas. Since there is no changes required for the frame itself, and it's just parts or accessories you are switching/adding/subtracting, I'd expect it would only be a day or two at most for FFR to make the adjustments, so perhaps pick a date with Stewart a few days, or a week after the completion date.
Least I presume FFR co-ordinates, and confirms with Stewart. that your build is ready to ship? They have to load them in the truck in a set delivery order.

I suppose I wasn't very clear but I've been locked down with Stewart since March. When I got my order confirmation from FFR that's when I contacted Stewart for a quote, which I also requested to make their quote an official request way back then.
