I'm finally getting around to posting some pics and video from one day I spent at Sonoma Raceway this past July at the Shelby Nationals which just happened to be at my local track.

Did the HPDE thing in the AM (3 sessions) and 1/4 mile drags in the afternoon (got in 15 drag runs).

Sorta boring but at 3 minutes you can see the Alan Mann GT40, featured here:

At $5 million or whatever you can believe I stayed away from it.

The rest of the time was pretty much following a GT350 'tribute' car with a 347.

The Shelby Club does not use a point-by system for their HPDEs so if you want to pass then you you have to figure it out. You can see how that plays out at around 12 minutes.

So, it was leisurely laps which was just fine- my buddy Jeff as a passenger first time on track.

I LOVE that #10 Daytona!!! It’s a Kirkham that Cobra Automotive built. It’s the one that Jim Pace drove at the Daytona 24hr race, there’s a video on YouTube, VERY cool!!!
