I'm installing the Specialty Power Windows windshield wiper kit on my roadster. This kit allows you to select degrees of sweep from 90* to 160* in 10* increments. What would be a good sweep on the roadster? I'm guessing somewhere in the 110* - 120* range? I can tweak it if needed down the road, but it would definitely be easier to do now with the body off (and before the whole assembly is packed with grease).

Hey John. I can't give an answer in degrees. But when I installed that system on my Coupe (and soon will do again on the truck build) I just kept adjusting until I had the maximum sweep possible for the blades that fit the windshield. It's kind of a pain to take apart each time to change the angle. But it's a one-time thing and then done. You do want to have a least some grease in the unit before running. So it's a little messy too. I haven't installed that system on a Roadster, but I'm positive you should be able to get a wider sweep angle than the standard Lucas style setup.

Thanks Paul. Sounds like a plan. I'll go somewhat light on the grease initially until I have the final settings ID'ed to make the process (hopefully) a little less messy.

The gears we sell are 115 degree. The typical system can easily use a few more degrees of sweep.

I had the same issue, although with the lucas motor. Solved my with a different wheelbox with a smaller drive gear.
