Hey guys,
I am in the middle of wiring the car and just finished installing RT turn signal and hazard switch. Problem I am having is getting voltage feeding back through the running light circuit at each click of the turn signal flasher. Basically if I signal left both front and rear flashers indicate as they should but the right side front running light will flash dimly at the corresponding time. Same thing happens if I make a right signal (left side front dimly blinks). I did confirm it was the running light circuit and not the turn signal circuit that is dimly flashing on the opposite side. I should note this is only on the front lights and the problem doesn’t carry through to the back lights.
A few things I should mention to help trouble shooting ideas.
It was doing this before the hazard switch was installed and yes I have diodes in place on those wires.
Wiring harness is a EZ wiring harness coupled to my dieted donor supplied by Art Cuesta (don’t think this is the issue but it’s not a RF)
I am using the FFR supplied trailer adapter for the rear wiring harness (to allow the shared brake / turn signal) to work properly.
I am using the FFR supplied lights ( led rear , incandescent front) and non led flasher module. I tried installing the FFR supplied LED flasher module but it didn’t work at all. I am guessing since I still have the incandescent front lights?
Turn signal dash indicator lights have not been installed... would that make difference?
Any thoughts or opinions is welcomed.

Things like this almost always come back to a grounding issue. The RF harness is a little weak on grounding in the front segment...I suggest tapping into the ground wires for lighting at all 4 corners and running an additional pigtail from each to the chassis.

Thanks for the quick reply Jeff,
It’s a EZ chassis harness (not RF if that makes a difference) and it does have grounds on the chassis at all 4 corners (within 2-3’) of the weather pack connectors at each light connection. I have been attaching all grounds by grinding down the powder coat, dielectric grease and tapped screws. I will double check those areas to make sure it’s getting a good ground. Thank you

Headlight switch is just hanging freely and not secured to the dash / chassis. Is that self grounding and possibly the issue?

Are you trying to use LED lights? Sometimes they need a load resistor, like this:

Problem solved.
Ground had pulled off the body of one of the lights on top of black and green wires reversed. Jeff’s tips sent me down the right path. Thanks guys

Dielectric grease is an insulator, it does not improve current flow.

Got it, it was more to prevent corrosion or rust forming between the two surfaces. Is there a better way to do this?
