All,
I building up my EJ-20 after getting the block and heads back. Most things are clearly called out in the FSM, or somewhat self-intuitive.
There's a large plug in the bottom of the engine just behind the thermostat that looks like it "should" have an o-ring or gasket, but the FSM makes no mention of it, and the parts diagrams show the plug, but that's all. Same for it's corresponding nipple on the other half that connects to the oil cooler. Do you just use thread sealant or Three Bond on them? Just seems odd??
