2006 WRX donor. Did my best to get these all wired in, but I found my first (hopefully only) crossed wire. It went to the Data Link connector, or at least it was supposed to. I bundled it with a bunch of other stuff and I'm happy I didn't fry the ECU. On tracing those wires, I noticed that the GB goes to (or at least it should go to) the same power circuit as the cruise control and abs, both lit up on the cluster for error.

Since I've already shown myself that I make mistakes, is this circuit a likely source of error for those? The only other GB power circuit is FB-16, which appears to have the same source and fuse, so I don't think it would throw an error even if I crossed those.

Only trouble codes are related to the MAF/IAT, TGV, and air pumps. Suggestions?

Thanks.

The cruise is triggered by the ECU, you need to make sure the ECU is not throwing a code before you chase wires.

Thanks. Wouldn't the codes be viewable on a scanner? The guides I got map to the things I listed, none of them surprising

The Cruise light will come on anytime there is any code that disables cruise control.

OK, thanks. I have P0102, P0113 = MAF/IAT; P2016, P2021, P2008, P2011 = TGV; and P2433, P2431 Air pumps. Guess I'm headed back to the wiring.

I believe the MAF code disables cruise, but I'm not 100% sure. Somewhere on the ROMRAIDERS forum they have a full error matrix, but I don't seem to have bookmarked it.

Interesting, I'll look for the matrix because if that's true I might be better off skipping that one for now. I had a look through the service manual and saw tests for the neutral switch, clutch switch, and brake switch.
I didn't even know an error matrix existed, but it sounds really helpful.
Thanks AGAIN!

Just following up because I've gotten a lot of help from old threads. The maf sensor was in correctly, but apparently the entire tube was in backwards. Oof. It doesn't fit as well the right way, but it frigging runs.
