I'm new to this forum (and forums in general) but have been considering building one of these for a long time upon retirement. Now I am and would like to pursue this in ernest. My issue is I'm 6' 5" and don't know if i will fit in this model. I'd like to find someone in my region who would be willing to meet and allow me to "test fit" the 33 and share their experience. The map shows several who might work as I'm in eastern Tennessee. Is there someplace I can look owners up and get their contact information or arrange to talk to someone?

Early on some of the guys wanted to track the history of the cars by having duplicate entries. It's much more elegant to have a single entry and put the history in the text box, if the current owner desires. You've done an awesome job keeping the map going. Thanks for doing it because without your help, it would have likely died. At a minimum, it would have been an ordeal to update! :cool:

I'm going to spend more time doing updates and verifying data. If we're missing location, chassis #, or "current" owner info .... I will move the icon out to Bermuda. That way you guys can see what gets dumped there and help with gathering the intel. We have numerous #??? cars that need to be confirmed or parked in Bermuda.

I'm going to spend more time doing updates and verifying data. If we're missing location, chassis #, or "current" owner info .... I will move the icon out to Bermuda. That way you guys can see what gets dumped there and help with gathering the intel. We have numerous #??? cars that need to be confirmed or parked in Bermuda.

Updated the map a bunch today. Several machines were moved to Bermuda!

They're not really in Bermuda but we need info on them to get them to their real home.

As an example, one of the cars missing only the chassis number to be complete. It's even famous, being one of the Car Warriors 33s. So who knows the chassis number for this car or one of the others out in the Bermuda Triangle???

Thanks for the tips on the Bermuda cars and updates on previously listed hot rods.

I'm finally able to get working on a few "hobby" items and will be available for Icon changes and such. RoadRacer is more active on this board but one of us will get to it!

The list next to the map (on the map page) is now in chassis number order which should help with a manual search. The Bermuda Triangle cars are all at the bottom of the list.

In the midst of updates I received some info about chassis #604. Some cars have comments added such as 30, 139, and 604. If there are others in need of these type comments pass it on and we can handle it.

Also feel free to send status changes or photos, if you would like those added. It might take awhile but we will get to all requests. I'm hoping to change my icon to a go kart before long.

I've been retired nine-years now and it's the best thing I've done in my career. Can't believe it, but I'm busier than ever in retirement. I'll work until I die but it won't be for some corporation, it'll be doing what I want to do and on my schedule.

Nederland does have a very strong Dutch heritage as you can imagine and there is even a grondzeiler in old downtown.

The replica is more of a "korenmolen", the wings are not close to the ground as a "grondzeiler" (these are typical for pumping purposes in remote areas). The korenmolen had its wings elevated so acces to the windmill was a lot safer!

We have a korenmolen still in the middle of my village, it is being renovated at the moment, but when it is working you can buy flour milled by it for pancakes and some of the local bakers use it for "molenbrood".
