K-Tuned shifter

Has anyone purchased a Ktuned shifter and sourced cables separately? I’m looking at their newer Rev2 models. I have Craig’s rear linkage so hopefully it all moves the same way. I believe Wayne uses the RSX shifter but the cables go rearward instead of forward in the RSX. Has anyone used Wayne’s VCP shifter with Craig’s ZDM rear linkage?

Oh I know, I’ve been awaiting it’s arrival for a long time. Unfortunately due to my modified centre tunnel your design just won’t work for me. My console is about half the height of original so I can’t have anything moving below it as there’s just no room with the wiring. This will also make the shifter too low for me. Your new shifter does look beautiful though, and will no doubt be the popular choice going forward.

Are you aware of anyone running the Ktuned with your linkage?

If it's a K-tuned where the cables run forward it will probably work. I believe on Wayne's VCP shifter the left/right action was reversed. That's why his brackets put the rotate cable on top of the input shaft vs below. I want to say that someone modified one to work, but I couldn't tell you who or even where I saw it or if it was just brainstorming emails.

If you get it and one of the directions is wrong, you will just need to make a small lever to flip the action that could be installed somewhere in the tunnel.

Yeah that’s what I was thinking, shouldn’t be too hard considering the rest of the build.

FWIW the new K-Tuned shifter will work just fine. The side to side motion does need to be reversed, but using the ZDM linkage I just flipped the side to side pivot arm and made a new bulkhead mount. Not adjusted or even bolted down and it’s 100x better!
