I feel silly asking this, but could someone post a full picture of how the Parking Brake Handle Mounting Assembly mounts to the welded on Mounting Points on the Gen 3 Coupe? I've found a few "partial" pictures on the forums, but for whatever reason, I'm struggling a bit. I think it is a factor of having "extra" parts in the bag, and possibly outdated photos in the manual. Thanks in advance!

This is probably the best picture I have already on file showing the completed assembly installed. You're right -- the kit includes the standard set of parts for the e-brake handle including right angle mounting brackets that aren't used in this case. The pictures in the manual look OK to me, including the installation picture w/o the brackets. But agree it can be confusing if parts are left over. Hopefully this helps.

Depends on your brake setup, you will have extra parts, especially if not using the Wilwood setup

I have a picture of my e-brake assembly mounting in the latest posting of my build thread. It includes some updated parts that I received from F5.

Thank you so much. The problem is that the manual that came with my kit earlier this year, shows the image of installing it on the MarkIV. So obviously I have an outdated manual.... UGGHHHHH

Also, the spacing on the mounting points for my handbrake doesn't work for mounting as you've got pictured above. What you've illustrated is exactly what I thought should happen, but it doesn't fit as such with the parts I have. I'll double check when I get to the shop tonight, and hopefully it's just a dumb mistake by me, but I think perhaps there is a mistake on the parts I was provided. I'll update appropriately

My manual is REVISION 4B, OCTOBER 2017, received with my kit in December 2017. So it's not new by any means, and shows a picture somewhat like the one I posted. Sounds like you might have a newer manual? And it shows a Roadster picture of the e-brake? Strange.

I went to the shop tonight but forgot to look at which version of the manual I have. I'll do that tomorrow, but here is my picture of the e-brake bracket and how it doesn't fit the mounting points welded onto the chassis. The mounting points are welded at 7" on center, and the ratchet assembly has the holes at 5 3/4" on center. Unless I'm really missing something, I'm not sure how that works

I would call FFR, they have made some changes and or you have a wrong set of parts. Mine bolted up fine but I did have to cut the bolts to fit.

Agreed. Call Factory Five. Clearly something changed. My kit came with mounting holes at both locations -- 5-3/4 and 7 -- and the chassis mounts are at 7 as you found out. The manual lists the part in question as "15167 - FIXED GEAR." My kit came with one like seen in this picture from Factory Five's part catalog: http://www.factoryfiveparts.com/15183-e-brake-handle/. Obvious now why you were having problems figuring it out. :(

Since it looks like you received some incorrect parts, take a look at the pic below to make sure you get all the parts you need. I did not receive parts to connect the e-brake assembly to the cables or the cable ends to the e-brake calipers. Some folks like Edwardb fabricated their own extensions, but now F5 has included the extensions.

Turns out that FF accidentally shipped me the ratchet gear that was intended for the '35 Truck Kit instead of what I needed for the Coupe. So it didn't fit. They are sending out the proper part today.

I've sent a copy of your picture to FF and asked them to confirm that they are including all these parts when they send the correct ratchet gear. Thanks for the heads up Gadsden!
