Ordered this from Bruce a while ago. It's a great piece and quality workmanship. I was a bit surprised when it arrived in 2 pieces, the main hood and the hood liner. After talking to Bruce I do understand why it ships this way. I am really happy with the look of it as I am going for a modern interpretation of the original Super Snakes. It's been sitting in the garage for a couple of months and this evening I decided to unbolt the original hood and lay this one on to see how much work I have ahead of me. The contour of the new one is fairly close so I will make a buck using the original one as my template and use the buck to bond the new hood and liner together and clamp to.

Can you post some photos of the liner and what you have to do to bond it? It would be interesting to follow.

Just plugg'n along. I got the hood from Bruce Chervenek. He builds them to order to match the original Super Snake hoods.

I will see if I can get a picture of the liner in the next day or so. It is basically an exact duplicate of the standard FFR hood. The hood you get with the roadster is the hood and the liner already bonded together.

Thanks! The color on the original Super Snake is right down my short list. Looks like the Nissan B17 I'm hot on. Sure doesn't look like a 60's color. Anybody know what color it is? I know... Super Snake blue...

That's a pretty mean looking hood. different enough but not over the top. I like it!

I've got a 351W that I would put in there...... How tall could I go with the induction? Looks like alot of extra clearance. I really like that hood look alot too.

I"m a very lucky recipient of Bruce's SS hood (been working on a very nasty version of a 545ci SuperSnake)! Bruce's workmanship is excellent and he was an absolute pleasure to deal with!
Here is a pic of the liner before mounting

You've seen installed and finished pics from the front...check out the wicked view from behind!

Sailor...thanks to the new clearance, I just swapped the Torker II out for a Victor (still have room left for the F2 Procharger!)

Progress on the hood came this week/weekend. Worked on getting the backing plates on the hood liner over the last week a few evenings in the garage. I used 3/16" steel for the hinge backing plates and 5/8" round stock for gas struts. I used HSRF to bond them to the hood liner.

Cut out and test fit, ready for panel bonding adhesive.

I made a buck for the glue up. After the adhesive was laid down the hood was placed in the buck and a butt load of clamps were used to secure it while the adhesive was allowed to cure

The buck allowed the new hood to match my existing hood contour perfectly.

And this is it. You can see how the standard cutout for the 427 hood scoop is just a bit smaller (outlined with black marker). The cut out for the Super Snake scoop is going to take a bit of finishing on the liner side where it meets the hood itself but that is for another day. I managed to get the hood trimmed for the opening but somewhere during the hood swap process lost one of the hood hinge bushings so I will have to pick one up during the week to install the new hood. Honestly, not very much taller than stock - it's more of a look thing than anything else - the problem is that although it rises up, at the back of the hood it's still relatively low profile. So you try to stick on some large induction and....fail, lol. (since although it clears the center of the scoop it still strikes at the back of it).
The best I could do was a 351w + super vic + 4150 (no carb spacer) + 14*3 air filter + extreme top air filter w/ a deep drop dish base (I don't know how deep, but it's the deepest one I could find)

Have not received an email. Then again, not sure how you would have gotten it.
You can email me at i.e.427garage@gmail.com
Make sure to copy and paste it. Most folks leave out the "periods" and the emails go somewhere else.
