Hi All,

A simple enough question I THINK but cannot find the answer anywhere. Anyone know the angle that the engine sits in the 818. I'm thinking the best and most easily reproducible spot is the crankshaft pulley. If anyone has a digital level and is willing to put the level across the pulley in a vertical manner that would be great. Of course if you have a better spot to determine the attitude, I'm all ears.

I know there is always talk about the engine not being in the right position, but I just want to know what it is sitting at. I'm converting from a manual transmission to an automatic transmission and would like to come as close as possible as to the original factory attitude.

Thanks
Glenn

Found on another thread, the engine is tilting forward at 3.5 degrees.

Found on another thread, the engine is tilting forward at 3.5 degrees.

Factory Five confirmed it is 4 degrees, so we're close between 3.5 and 4.0

When you use an automatic transmission the tilt is increased to about 5.4 degrees. The thicker trans and sump raise and tilt the engine forward even more. Working on some motor mount spacers.
