Has anyone tried putting the FA20D from a Toyobaru in their 818? Would it need an adapter plate to bolt on to the WRX tranny (I've heard the stock Toyobaru tranny is from Lexus, not Subaru)? I'm prepping to buy my 818C kit and am looking at different engines I could power it with. The FA20D appeals to me for a few reasons, most prominent being the availability of vehicle-specific supercharger kit.
EDIT: Removed '... and turbo' and changed 'kits' to 'kit'.
EDIT: Changed title from "FA20D-Powered 818 (86/BRZ/FR-S)"

I don't know the info on the Toyobaru transmission, but I know the Impreza/WRX transmission is Subaru's "5MT Revised". Just if it helps those that know how to look, which I really don't.

Thanks! I'll read through that one!

There are a few more threads on the same subject. So far as I know no one has done it yet.

Ok. I'm debating between the designed EJ-series engine, the FA20D, or a 13B. Deciding factor right now is the price and complexity of using each engine, and whether I want it N/A, supercharged, twincharged, or am fine with the lag of a turbocharged build.
