I am in the process of adding a Quaife LSD and cryo-treated ring and pinion to my 2005 JDM Legacy GT transmission. My donor is a 2003 WRX. I had to destroy the speedometer drive's oil seal to get the shaft out and I couldn't determine it's orientation beforehand. The service manual diagram doesn't show it's true shape and I'm wondering it it fits traditionally, with the cup-side inwards or the spring-side inwards?
Also, is there anything else I have to transfer over from the '03 to play happy with it's ecu?
