coyote VIN location

Installing a 2011 F150 version in my mk4.

I keep reading about the states inspector wanting to see the engine VIN and proof of purchase (aka not stolen)

Anyone know where it is located on the block?

Hi Greg, serial number for block is on passenger side head just above the third header tube from the frt. ( # 6 cyl. I believe). I have the same engine and had to stencil the number, not easy but doable.

Engine serial no. for Coyote is also located on a sticker at the rear of the engine under the drivers side coil cover.
just pull the coil cover and wa-la there it is.
