This could work perfect for the 818!

It's being marketed toward dyno tuning but it doesn't take much imagination to see that it could work amazing for our cars.

Here's the info from Grimmspeed:

"We have a fun product release coming later this month! This one is for the dyno tuners that struggle (like the rest of us) to setup a fast, reliable and repeatable fan setup on a TMIC car. Subaru hood scoops force a MASSIVE amount of air through the core and simulating that on the dyno can be a challenge. The GrimmSpeed lineup of TMIC Dyno Ducts should help alleviate some of that headache and provide the best possible test and tune conditions.

Tag a tuner that needs a setup like this. We will have a special purchase program available for our Authorized Retailers and will also sell them on our website to anybody that needs one."

This s basically what I built to take in air from the side vents, the height would be a concern to look into, also are those 3" or 4" duct openings ? Also will this only fit the Grimmspeed TMIC ?

Likely only the grimmspeed TMIC. It won't fit with the R/S engine cover stock likely. My aftermarket TMIC wouldn't even fit.

How much space is under the roof of the C?

Yes they are designed for GS intercoolers specifically.

It is pretty tight where the TMIC sits, maybe 4". at some points.6190461905

It would work perfectly try for a C and there are the roof scoops on both sides. Kinda wished I didn't go awic already.

The coupe's roof ducting has an effective cross-sectional area of between 2.5"-2.75" for most of it's length. I would want some heavy-duty math involved here to prove that wouldn't be a substantial restriction to the intercooler's needs, especially at lower vehicle speeds.

Oops, sorry. I meant effective cross-sectional diameter of 2.5" - 2.75".

As an approximation, you can calculate what size pipe a non-circular duct will flow like

For example a 1"x 3" rectangular opening will flow like a 1.5" duct
