Still looking into options. Just started researching these engines and they are quite a bit less expensive than the ej207's. The purchase would include everything including up-pipe, ecu, etc.

Apparently the exhaust side AVCS is kind of a PITA (according to NASIOC thread), but as long as you have the ECU shouldn't be an issue. It's an open deck design with forged crank, rods & piston crowns. But it is an interesting price/performance consideration.
The intake manifold is plastic and I can't clearly see the connection to the intercooler, so that may be a problem knowing the limitations in the 818, depending on if you're staying A2A or trying A2W.
