I've got a '2000 transmission with the male stubs. Going to 2008 Legacy rear CVJ's. Knowing I was on a limb with this style suspension, I asked for a 818S NA 2002 kit.
Axles were 29 spline to 21 spline. No fitment here as I had 29 to 29, and specific diameters of course. A call to Courtnie at FFR (always ready to help - thanks) and a discussion of what I have, I get axles to fit on the first try. Going by description was tough, because I'm not even in the Impreza camp at all. I like knowing specs and working from them if possible.
Note the part numbers - 80237 & 80240.
I'm just posting this picture with a bundle of measurements, in case someone finds this useful for their off-the-wall setup. My thought is you measure up what you have and if one of these fits the bill you can request by part number instead of by "conversation".
