I have sourced some aluminum front control arms to replace the steel ones on my 818S. I have read that adding spacers to the rear (bolt on) bushings will add caster. What are people using for spacers? Also, is it advisable to bolt the control arms to different frame holes to, again, add caster?

I use a piece of aluminum bar from Home Depot. Drill holes in it. Yes you can use the other mounting holes which accomplishes the same thing.

I made it out of steel(that I painted) because I had it lying around.

What is optimum thickness of bar? Can you still use the orig. bolts? Will using the other holes (I think wagon) cause the bushings to angle too much?

Mine were 4mm when I was done, I believe. Started at 6 and it was just crushing the bushing. I forced it into the sedan holes, but it wasn't easy.

I had Craig CNC machine some for me, if I recall he can do it again for others, Craig you confirm?

They were 10mm thick.
