I am looking to remove the stock oil cooler on my 2.0L WRX motor and put in an external oil cooler. If I remove the stock spacer place with the coolent hoses to install the aftermarket spacer and oil lines, what is everyone doing to plug off the stock coolent lines? hose plugs or threaded plugs in the block?
thanks

I've seen both. I used silicone cap plugs with constant tension hose clamps. Have not leaked yet. You can buy all sizes here: 034motorsport.com

2nd on the 'yes' answer. Have it capped for now (lazy). Will use threaded plug if I take engine out of car at later date.

Stick an old bolt in the hose and put a small hose clamp around it.
