I am not sure why, but I have 5 inches of ride height, in the front, with no compression in the springs at all.

I am not sure what I did wrong, if anything, or if this is how it is supposed to be.

My car is # 79, so it is one of the new ones.

Everything looks like it is supposed to, from the pictures in the instruction manual.

79 would be a fairly old one. Did you buy the kit unfinished from someone else or is that a typo?

On the ride height, a picture is worth a thousand words. Are you at full weight with body on?

That's my bet: No body yet.

I just encountered this with mine, your tires might be binding up a bit as you lower it holding the car up. Just stand on the front subframe and bounce it a bit to push them out and settle. Not having a battery or body work up front doesn't help either.

I will take some pics.

I am the original purchaser, been working on it for over two years. It is complete, registered, and drives. I have put about 100 miles on it so far, maybe more. The suspension never felt right and i am going over it, trying to figure out why.

I struggle to get 4.5" at the front with no body, no coolant and no AWIC tank water (3gals). Any higher and the springs don't touch the perch when I lift the car, so I don't know how you ended up at 5". What tire sizes you got up front? I run 215/40/17.

Try loosing the lower control arm bolts and tightening them with the weight on the car.
