I’ve gone back and forth on power steering. It's time to put a stake in the ground and be done with it. Based on input from you guys, I believe this is what I need:

Rack: autozone 6406 (3.0 turns) If I use this rack – Autozone 6406 - do I need extenders?

Hoses and fittings:
Breeze #70516 rack AN adapters
Breeze #21514 pump AN adapter
Breeze #21523 straight AN hose ends (2) (of course, I couldn’t find this on the Breeze site)
Breeze #21524 90 degree AN hose end
Breeze #21102 braided Teflon hose (4 feet)

I’ll get the bracket and pump with the engine, which I am acquiring soon.

Am I missing anything?

The Autozone rack does need extenders to line up the inner tie rod pivot with the UCA and LCA pivots. The reason is to reduce bump steer. Two schools of thought: Install without the extenders and then measure it/drive it to decide if bump steer is an issue. Or install them up front so you don't have to rework, re-do your front end alignment, etc. They may or may not be required, but installing them definitely won't hurt anything. Your choice. FWIW, I've installed them up front on my two PS builds, but others have opted to wait until later if needed. Neither are wrong.

reservoir?

With a PS alignment of ~8 degrees positive caster and FFR spindles bump steer is negligible without extenders due to the elevation of the steering arms but I recommend installing them from the get-go anyway for the improved geometry.

Al,

My only caution is the AZ power steering rack ... and my experience may be unique. I would pickup the rack at the store pull it out of the box and make sure it is the 3 turns lock to lock rack as they list it on the website. Take a tool to rotate the rack with you; they will not have one.

I went through three racks and finally ordered the one from Breeze (BTW it comes with the extenders installed). The first rack which I had delivered had a crimp in the hydraulic piping and was not the ratio I ordered; the next two were not the ratio ordered. The store manager told me that this was a problem they have had for awhile ...

You might consider another foot of the hose to account for any "mistakes". I am assuming your pump has an integral reservoir but if not you will need additional fittings, etc. to go to the reservoir.

In the end it has been a PIA to change over to PS but after go carting I realized it was absolutely the right decision.
