I've just assembled my shocks and the manual has a couple of statements that don't seem to match up.
It says 500lb springs are for the front. I had 350lb springs in box 1 with all of the front suspension components and 500lb springs in box 2 with some of the rear components. The manual also says the front shocks are 2.5" shorter than the rear shocks, but all 4 of my shocks are the same part # and same size. Do I have 2 of the wrong shocks? All 4 of my shocks are koni part # 151144.

Rule #1- forget the manual.
500 are rear, 350 are front. They are all the same length (8" I believe). I found that 600 rear and 400 were better on the track. Set Rebound 50% higher on shocks. If I were to do it again, I would try 425 springs up front.

OK. Thanks.
Do you have a source for higher rate springs? Also, did you use the front sway bar or leave it out?
Skip

No Swaybar needed on the R (At least I never thought it needed one). Look for Eibach coilover springs- in the correct diameter and length. www.Summitracing.com or Jegs should carry them.

 :D
Set Rebound 50% higher on shocks.
Chad- what exactly do you mean by this? Set rear rebound 50% higher than front rebound? Or set all the shocks to a 50% rebound?

Set Rebound higher all around

I will start off with 750# in rear and 500# in front and most likely go down from there based upon my challenge car experience with these types of frames

Wow Tony, that is a lot of spring.
The little bit I drove Bob's car my first thought was with no aero I would try a softer rear spring from the 600's he is running.
