For everyone running AWICs in the rear did you add any gold or silver heat tape to the AWIC or piping to help keep the heat down? or is it even warrented on a stock street model?
thanks

DEI Reflectagold is very popular in the Racer community. Personally, I have not done anything for the intercooler itself but I have wrapped the hoses in Summit heat sleeving. It's inexpensive, has velcro so can be applied after hoses are installed, and is fiberglass with an outer reflective layer. For the cold hose, I wrapped it with foam pipe insulation from the hardware store then used the heat sleeving on top of that. Pics and video in my build thread. If I find temps creeping up, I will add Reflectagold to the intercooler as well.

I have reflect-a-gold and reflect-a-silver (uses another name though) everything in the back. My AWIC location is thankfully on the other side of the turbo, so I used only silver on the core. For all piping I have used gold. I am using gold on the coolant piping as well, some of the AWIC piping, underneath rear deck hump lid, back of rear deck hump aluminum and some on the rear FW. I am using silver on my overflow tank, although it's close to the turbo. Gold costs more than silver.
