Can anyone let me know best way to raise ride height. Currently I am at 4.5" which I think is spec. Can't get out of driveway without ramps. 2" would make me very happy and save me from constantly moving ramps.
Thanks

Most would say just crank up the springs. The problem with that is there is not much shock travel left.
If your just driving on the street, get some longer shocks and adjust away. If you looking for more spirited driving. This could be much more complicated.

I needed 5" to get my 818S out of my driveway. For this I added 1/2" spacer between the LCA and the mounting tab used to attach the lower mounting point of the shock. This gave me the 5" I needed leaving the shocks in their normal adjustment. I'm not satisfied with my handling so I can not whole heartedly endorse this mod. I have no plans to race my car however it is wicked fast.

Air springs. Get a small tank and no compressor. Just fill it before you leave, which should give you enough juice to get back in the driveway.

Adjustable lower control arms.Raise and lower ride height with a socket wrench(in seconds) .These are pricey .Google and you'll find the same ones for under $300.00 http://www.brothersperformance.com/1979-98-mustang-maximum-motorsports-extreme-duty-adjustable-rear-lower-control-arms.html?year=1990&gclid=CI2WsMGKz8sCFUM8gQod6JAE4w

Those require climbing under the car, yeah?

Those require jacking up the car a few inches just enough to get your arm & ratchet underneath to adjust height.

OP, is there a reason you can't keep ramps in place permanently? Fixing the driveway entry would be nice as well, terrain permitting.

those are meant to be left in place to smooth the entry

Yep, which makes sense. In the OP, he said he keeps having to remove and replace ramps, which indicated that they were either ugly, in the way, wife was complaining, or there was an HOA issue or something.

HOA = Time to move to an area where you actually own the land and can do what you want! ;)

You guys Crack me up.
I live 300 steps from the Atlantic Ocean in Belmar, NJ. Good thing I have a steep driveway as Hurricane Sandy caused me to need a boat to get to my house.
The current ramps I use are Long planks of wood that work fine. since I am just going to use the 818 for cruising ocean Ave I thought raising it 2" would not be a big issue.
Permanent ramps don't really look nice
I will try raising shocks an inch or 2
