My car was selected to appear on the cover of a local hot rod magazine. The magazine had asked for some suggestions as to a location for the shoot. Given the theme of the car, I reached out to the Star in Frisco, Texas - Dallas Cowboys Headquarters & Training Facility. After a few weeks of communication back and forth with their Operations Team, they allowed us to come out and do the shoot on location at the Star. The day of the photo shoot was the actual day that most of the US implemented the COVID-19 shut down. The area you see is a scaled down field that the organization holds different events in. The field is open to the public, however they typically don't let you drive your vehicles up on to the area surrounding it. I have also added a pic of the car with the top removed that was taken just down the road from our house. Location

I'd like to submit my pal Heath's MK-4 along with my Dark Side Ride.

Heath's traditional MK-4 is powered by a healthy 351 Windsor in front of a TKO 5-Speed.
The car sports power steering and a 3-Link Moser 8.8.

My ride is the one and only Redbone, the MK-4 that only a Chevy guy would like.
Redbone has a Dart 383 SBC in front of a ZF 6S-40 6-Speed and transfers the power to the pavement via a 3-Link Moser Dana 44 rear.

Picture was taken at my detailer right after he was finished his polishing and application of CQuartz Finest Professional Ceramic Coating. I had painted the car with House of Kolor Jet Black Base and Show Klear, sanded the Klear to 5000 grit after which my detailer went to town to polish it. All exterior and interior including the dash, interior doors etc... were sanded and polished at various stages. The picture is taken directly outside of his shop just prior to loading it in my trailer to bring home. Location

Day 1 taking our adopted baby home. Purchased from original owner builder, an Air Force fabricator of parts for air planes. Informal academic training with engineering knowledge. There's always an engineer or engineering mind engaged building an FFR car. Forgive me for not building my FFR. The Roadster has been a fantasy since 10th grade 1964-65 when I saw a black and white picture of a Cobra in a hot rod magazine. The article described the Cobra beating Sting Rays and XKEs. Fast Forward summer Indian River, MI 2017. A new acquaintance opened his garage door and I immediately knew I was looking at the back of a Shelby Cobra Roadster. Next winter I was reading about Carol Shelby and Cobra history when I noticed the word "replica". I knew the meaning but had no knowledge of a replica Cobra. Last I knew a Cobra was $100s of thousands or millions to own. I could not believe I stumbled from fantasy to reality... I was going to drive a Cobra of my own. Research proved FFR was the best chasis and most sought after. Oct 2018 we adopted a beautifully built FFR Roadster Mk4 from Tom Tegan. Location

A quick snap shot with my iPhone 11 on automatic looking into the sunset on Thanksgiving day. As I left my daughter’s home after Thanksgiving dinner I took this shot of my Type 65 Coupe. I think it captures the stunningly clean lines of the original design. It’s a heavily modified Gen 2 car equipped with 2015 Coyote, TKO600 and the Thunderbird IRS. The vision for this build is a clean, modern, road trip capable GT car with a nod or two to some of the lesser known aspects of the original. The modifications include under car exhaust, power windows, power steering, custom dash, dropped cabin and trunk floors and cabin partition. I’m seriously enjoying the gel coat shakedown miles before paint and body next year. Location

Although the car has gone 191 mph this year we had some computer issues and this picture was a 180 mph run (at only 8.7 pounds of boost).
