is anyone building an AWIC system using the stock bypass valve instead of a aftermarket blow off valve? I have ordered all my AWIC stuff and was planning of making a plate to mount the stock on and plumb it.

I've seen a couple people re-use the stock bypass valve by installing it into the end-tank of the AWIC.

I was going to make a plate and add it to the pipe going into the heat exchanger, Thanks

I bolted my BOV to the AWIC core using a gReddy gasket.
I will do the same on my second car.

I have the non clocked set up and was going put mine in the tube that comes fron the turbo to the heat exchanger. but I do like that idea. did you just drill and tap the exchanger and add a gasget?

You can drill the stock one with the greedy pattern and use the greddy Bov tube directly from frozenboost.

I had the GReedy bov on first, then switch back to the OEM unit.
Only because I had more confidence in the OEM unit.

I re-drilled the OEM bov to the GReedy bolt pattern. Used the GReedy gasket.
There is not enough flat area for the OEM gasket.

I thought the aluminum on the core is was to thin to tap.
I have 1/4" through holes.
I used bolts with the head on the inside. Then lock nuts on the outside.
Had to use a small wrench through the throttle body hole to hold the bolt from turning during tightening.
