I recently purchased a FFR built a few years ago (2011 or 2012). I think it was built in Texas and it was titled in California.
It is now in Chicago. I have a lot of engine build info but nothing on the Cobra kit. Is there any way to track
down the number by any info marked on any parts.

Yes, check the VIN number under the dash on the left. That will give you an indication of the number in sequence and we can go from there.

Hi Johnny Mike,

It looks like a MKIV from the pic (I don't see the perky butt on the trunk or a gas tank showing). I haven't seen one with two roll bars with the smaller diameter tubes. Looks good. It looks like it has 15 inch vintage wheels. If you check under the dash directly below the steering wheel there should be a frame number like FFR*********. It will most likely be in the 7000 series if year of build is close to delivery date. That's a little strange not to have some info on the kit. I guess the paperwork didn't make the trip out to California.

Good luck,

WEK.

Thanks for the info.
I did just find some paperwork on the car. I had it in the wrong file.
I have a Superformance Cobra and had it in that file by mistake.

Um... something doesn't make sense there. The picture you posted does not appear to be a Superformance. Those are not the roll bars Superformance uses. Those are very clearly Factory Five 1-1/2 inch (and tall) roll bars. Also, every Superformance I've seen (including those on their website) have single rear tail lights. The picture has the Factory Five standard two lights. The seats and rear cockpit lip also look much more like Factory Five than Superformance. Others more experienced than me may see other clues, or may disagree. But something isn't right IMO.

I think he is saying he *also* has a Superformance Cobra and had the paperwork in its file instead of this car's file.

That is correct I had the FF info in the Superformance file.
