I think someone covered this before but I couldn't find it. I have a rock solid brake pedal with almost no travel. The car stops well but with significant effort. I am considering getting a 15/16 bore m/c to replace the 1-1/16 bore. That should decrease pedal effort and increase travel. Has anyone tried this already?

Are your brakes bedded in yet? Once ours were bedded in, pedal effort decreased significantly. We also have upgraded pads (EBC Yellow). Travel is a personal preference. We prefer force modulated rather than travel (mushy) modulated brakes. That doesn't mean high effort though. Otherwise, your idea should work.
