combined with side shift this could really free up some room for rear bump protection.

I did that to my spare tail end. It's just sitting at work right now as a long term project. Bobncincy just posted a video where they are now using a 5 axis cnc to make those. Crazy!

Mechie, what did you use to do the chop?... I don't have a grinder that big, but I am surgical with a reciprocating saw.

combination of saws and a cutoff tool (4") and cleaned it up with a mill.
